I've had the majority of the surveys back in and firstly I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took their time to fill them out. It is so appreciated. It’s down to you that we can make changes for you and to make NHF a better place.

Alisha and I are extremely pleased with the feedback we’ve had. We can’t believe how positive it’s been so thank you for all your kind words.

Here is a round up of the Positive Points we had off members about NHF.

• Non-Divide between Staff and Members
• How Friendly ALL the members are. There’s no bitchiness and no groups like there are on some forums. Everyone can fit in and feel equal here.
• Good atmosphere and warmth here
• The layout. It’s not overly done and its very simple and easy to follow.
• How all the old members are coming back to this site.
• The Welcome PM’s and how it made members feel comfortable and welcomed here instantly.
• The graphics.
• The up to date Nigel news.
• The mass amount of Nigel pictures and clips.
• How mature everyone is here.
• There is no strictness here.
• How everyone can have an opinion here without being attacked at by “friendship groups”

And of course the main point - All the Nigelness here. This was the strongest comment we received. A lot of people said its nice to be a member of a board where Nigel is the main focus. We’re purely focused around him and no one else.

Moving on to the Negative Section

I said I wouldn’t name and shame the people who gave their negative thoughts and I still stand by this comment.

I will mention the very few comments we received though. Just to see if anyone agrees now it’s been mentioned (that sort of thing) and hopefully we can try and sort it.

As you may have already guessed, the biggest negative comment we received was about the Video Clips Forum Restriction. However, this was only mentioned by the members who didn’t have 150 posts and one months membership.

So, basically nothing is going to change here. Not after the hack. If the person who did it in the first place didn’t do it then we wouldn’t have this problem and they would be available to all members! I think our requirements are more than fair to enter. Some forums ask for 500/600 posts before you enter so what is 150 posts in comparison? It’s nothing really. Besides, if you’re here to chat about Nigel, you can soon raise your post count by chatting about him ;) Just don’t post bump please!

Other comments we received were:

• How worrying the amount of EE/Shannis fans are joining here and whether they'll move off the subject of Nigel.
• (Our Comment) We welcome you all but please remember we’re here for Nigel, no one else.
  
• How there is a rule that members can’t write about Nigel and Letitia in fictions.
• (Our Comment) You can write about Nigel and Letitia as friends but not romantically. Nigel is very fond of Tish but I don’t think he’d appreciate stories that imply he fancies her or imply that he’d want a relationship with her as she is happily married.
  
• How members read fictions and don’t reply
• (Our comment) If you are going to read a fiction, please reply so the author knows if they are doing a good job etc. It can be rude to read/lurk in someone’s fiction and not reply.
  
• Grammar with some members
• (Our comment) Please try and write in full English. Capital letters and full stops are not hard to do and they can make your comment far more readable for the Non-British members here.
  
• How we’re not allowed to discuss Nigel’s private life.
• (Our Comment) I was not expecting a comment like this! Surely if you’re a fan of Nigel’s, you’ll want to respect his privacy and private life?!? :huh:

Moving on to the “Changes you’d like to see on NHF” Section

I asked members to write what changes they would like and here are what some of you wanted.

• A Guys and Dolls Forum as a Main Forum (Already Sorted)
  
• A Games forum
• (Our comment) I won’t be adding this feature as yet. I want members to post in the Nigel forums mainly. They are our priority forums - the other one’s are not. They are just here for a bit of variety.
  
• To Password Protect fictions
• (Our comment) We could take this in to consideration if more members wanted it. I might set a poll up in the week to see the overall outcome on this.
  
• To Open the Video Clips Forum to all members.
• (Our comment) No can do sorry. I’m not risking clips, pictures getting stolen or us getting hacked again
  
• New Skin and Graphics
• (Our Comment) We’re thinking of changing the skin and we’re also looking in to new graphics

Moving on to the “Things you’d like to see on NHF in the future” section

The main answer we got was even more Nigelness and to keep NHF how it is now. And to keep everyone updated with what Nigel is doing in the future.

Other answers were:

• Tutorials for Music Videos, Making Banners etc,
• More Pictures of Nigel
• Nigel to become a member :lol:

So that was the overall results of the survey. However, we did get some comments about NHO or the “other site” as its getting called now and I need to say this now because certain people have got the wrong opinion of us and I need to defend my message board. We're all about opinions here. I let you have yours. Now you can have mine :)

I started this place up after I left the other site because I had no where else to go to support Nigel. I didn’t want to look around for any other message boards because the same thing could have happened there. Instead, I started this place up so I could control the Nigel content here and make the message board 100% dedicated to him and I feel I’ve achieved that. Not only do I know I’ve achieved this but I’ve had members here PM'ing me to tell me that I’ve achieved it as well. The amount of PM’s/emails I have received telling me how this place is like a breathe of fresh air is unbelievable. And I thank you all for your comments and kind words on this. You know who you are!

Apparently, the perception of NHF is that we are a “rebellion” site. You couldn’t be any further from the truth and I feel quite annoyed at this label. As I said above, I started this place because I had no where else to go. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect over 400 members to join 3 months after opening it! I only expected Alisha and I to be here and I never wanted to be competition to the other Nigel sites out there. I made that clear from day one! So, really speaking, I can’t have been the only person who was unhappy being a member of the “other” site for 400 members to join. If I hadn’t of started a Nigel site up, then I know loads of people who would have. I just jumped the boat first really.

So getting the point across nicely, ( :P ) NHF was not made out of rebellion to another Nigel site. It was made for Nigel and him only and we wanted a site that supported him 100%! Not 50%, not 80%, not 95% but 100% and we believe we've done that. The response has been great, not only through this survey but in general - e.g. people sending random pms of how much they love it here. And they are still doing it now! (I've probably repeated myself on a few points but what the hell :lol: )

Anyway, I could be defending my point for ages but that is the truth and I can’t get anymore honest than that. Those who think differently can. It’s your opinion and your freedom of speech to speak out if you choose to. :)

But I had to make my point clear as I don’t want this place labelled as the “rebellion site”.

The main thing is supporting Nigel in every way possible. We are here for no one else but the man himself and this is the ONLY reason why this site emerged. :D We've been lucky but I have no regrets!

When Kate told me her plans to make a Nigel site, I gladly obliged. :D Back then, we never thought we’d have so many members but like I said at the beginning – I’d rather have 100 who love him than 1000 who thinks he’s ok.

Feedback is always appreciated and it helps us to implement changes and look at ways of improvement. Thank you all for replying. Pms of praise is something I get to from time to time, which is always nice so thank you. I really appreciated that and it shows that we’re on the right tracks.

The response has been immense and been extremely positive, which has been very overwhelming. I'm so pleased that we are achieving what the vast majority want in a constructive way. (3 month anniversary today – wah-hoo! :dancing: ).

So far we have received no real complaints but just the odd comments about password restrictions. However, I share Kate’s need to have that. It's lenient without being strict and moreover, the site remains Nigel focused and not clips based.

Like Kate has said, the biggest praise from almost all the members feedback was the Nigelness. We have tons of that and fear not, it's not going anywhere. :D That's the reason we started this site and that's the reason it will continue.

Anyway I hate divides as much as the next person so I'm glad that there is none of that. We are all equals. :hug: I know for new members it's always daunting joining new forums especially when everyone 'knows' each other but it takes time and like I say to all new members, it just takes time finding you feet...but you will, you so will. :P

Long live the Nigel love. Onwards and upwards as they say!

Just read your post and I'm glad we're quite a lot to think this place is warm and friendly. Personally this is the 1st board I've been to where I feel I can share my admiration for Nigel, and where I feel people are not offensive.

I'm pleased we have the restriction rule. People waiting and contributing and then getting the password (instead of leaving when they realises they cant) imo proves who is loyal and who is not. :P

Fortunately, it's not been a large problem of late (despite some comments about it in the feedback). :D Members here are mature enough to understand and not go of on one despite some initial disappointment, so it’s all good. :D

I know what you mean, I've got the impression that some are joining because they think they'll be able to watch the clips and see the personal stuff that a few are kindly sharing, and when they realise they can't they don't post. :blink:

Kate i think you are amazing! I LOVE This site! i think that the people who are truly Nigel Harman fans will not mind the 150 posts and a months membership rule. I DON'T!! It gives you something to look forward to and i beleive that post bumping is not a good idea.

Irecently got the password and it was well worth the wait, especially for the early Shannis clips that brought back such great memories :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: and also for Red Cap which I never did see and after seeing wish I had you can all imagine why :rude: :rude: :rude: , and I love the interviews especially Johathan Ross one's they made me laugh and smile.
And restricions are'nt such a bad thing, as with all this Nigel goodness on offer it would be a shame to loose it all to stupid hackers.

Only just read the post kinda got carried away watching all the Nigelness clips and videos's of early Shannis.
But it's great that so many epople feel like they can come here and chat, have a laugh but still keep the site focused on Nigel, which is what it's about at the end of the day.
There's will always be a few people who don't like rules but hey there's enough room on the net for everyone to share their love and support for Nigel and this is one of the best sites around :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:
On a side note I became a Auntie again yesturday my husbands brother's wife had their second child a girl called Kelly Marie 7lb 8oz
