Title: Your Safety
Description: Please Read

Alisha - June 1, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
Hello members,

I think it’s important that this needs to be said because your safety and well-being is vital. With Nigel doing lots of dates over Autumn and Winter for his roles in The Caretaker/Guys and Dolls, it’s important that everyone arrives at their destination safety and equally, make a safe return. Your safety is important and I wouldn’t want anyone to put themselves at risk or in a situation where they are potentially at harm.

If you’re going to see Nigel, please make sure that you have appropriate accommodation and means for transport. Make the use of black cabs and be in the company of people you know, rather than someone you’ve just met. Always keep your phone on you and there is someone that you can contact as well as them in return.

I apologise if that sounds a bit mumzy but I’m only saying it because I care and after reading some comments myself, I do think it's important – for everyone. After all we only have to hear about the recent stabbings in the news to know that this contemporary society that will live in is not safe.

What ever choice or decision you take though no one here will be held responsible for your actions. :)

Please do take this into consideration. Thank you. :)

Glad you brought this up Alisha, it is an important topic

My Mum is coming with me all 4 times, so I am ok on that score

Everyone just make sure that you know the people you are travelling with etc, and that you can get appropriate transport back after the performance, or otherwise, suitable accomodation

Totally agree Alisha!!!
Especially if you don't know that area that well, which will be the case for me when I go to Sheffield and Birmingham!!!
I'll make sure that Stace, Aliscia and I are all sorted before we even leave Essex!!!

WestEndWendy - June 1, 2006 10:43 PM (GMT)
I can only echo what Alisha has said,we really do live in very dangerous times and it's no longer the case of ''Oh,it would never happen to me'' because we know all too well that it could, you only have to pick up a newspaper to know the truth of that.

This isn't meant to scare you or sound mean but it is very important.

Virga - June 2, 2006 06:15 AM (GMT)
Alisha, thank you for bringing this up.

It's not only in the UK, but it's the complete society.
If I also may give a tip : if you are walking on the street, keep everything
away and very important also out of sight.
A few weeks ago a boy here was murdered for his MP3 player and this in the busiest train station of the country during the day.
It's getting really bad over here as well and people are stabbed almost every day and this in a country with only 12 million people ...

Not mumsy at all Lish, i agree, some us of us will be travelling alone to meet NHFers up in sheffield or Birmingham so it is important to be safe.

As a mum myself i'd be worried if my kids went on a trip and never told me.
everyone needs to be very careful and safe it would be what Nigel would want too.

ShannisIsFab-ILoveNigel - June 2, 2006 02:21 PM (GMT)
glad you brought this topic up lish and it's very well said, not mumzy at all, like you said, it's a vital issue.
i would advice that you travel up with someone you know, not with anyone you dont know by yourself, who knows what might happen. the world's a dangerous place. i'm going twice to the cartaker once on trip and other time to nigels matinee, and my dad or my mum aill be coming with me both times so i'm ok.
:D
like you said ann its not a case of it will never happened to me. a guy was stabbed not far from where i live and, that's a very small village wad quiet wehre you think everyhtings safe, its not. you're not safe anywhere...as virga said, keep everything out of sight, it can only aake a second for somebody to steal your stuff mug you or worse. it could happen to anyone at any time.

Diara - June 2, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
I can only say one thing.
